Knitting Pattern: Beetles One and Two Years

Knitting Pattern: Beetles One and Two Years
This is a PDF instant file.
This is a pattern for handknit sweater for a one or two year old child obsessed with cars!
Both size patterns are included. The size one has an easier neck opening and a pewter clasp.
On the front of Size One is a large red Beetle car, driving in front of snowcapped mountains and a bright sun in the sky. Circling around the bottom and wrists is a pattern of black and grey wheels on a white background. The neck, wrists, and hem trim is rainbow and black stripes. There is a small clasp at the neck.
The back has the same scene, reversed, with an blue Beetle car.
Driving up the right and left sleeves are Beetles in shades of blue and yellow to red. A very fun sweater for a car lover!
Size Two is a simpler picture, with just sky and sun. The hem and neck trim is a simple ribbing in rainbow stripes. The sleeves have a simple black ribbing.
Pattern has written directions and full color charts to enlarge. The pattern assumes a good knowledge of knitting, or at least an adventurous spirit and a knitting guidelines book. Obviously other color combinations are possible. Make the sweater your own!

My patterns are meant to be knit fearlessly, changing details as desired. You can omit background details to simplify the picture, or you can change colors freely to suit your intended recipient.
I do have a strange gauge for the size needles I use, so IT IS CRUCIAL that you match the gauge to your own knitting style. Have fun!
