Knitting Pattern: Axolotls Five Years

Knitting Pattern: Axolotls Five Years
This is a PDF instant file.
This is a pattern for a handknit sweater for a five year old child. My granddaughters love axolotls, so I designed this sweater for other like-minded children. The front and back are almost identical. On the front the axolotl is pink and white, standing on purple waterlilies in a river with trees in the background. On the back the axolotl is peach and white. The sleeves are mirror images of a plump axolotl on the same waterlilies in the same pond. The left sleeve axolotl is light peach with peach shading. The right sleeve axolotl is white with pink shading. All of the creatures have sew-on wiggly eyes. The hem and wrists have two trims: peach flowers on a blue background, and yellow and orange suns on a dark blue background. The hem, wrists, and neck have a simple red and varied blue stripes trim.
Pattern has written directions, materials lists, and full color charts to enlarge. The pattern assumes a good knowledge of knitting, or at least an adventurous spirit and a knitting guidelines book. Obviously other color combinations are possible.
Have fun!
